Aarya Bhoite

Aarya Bhoite is a senior at Redmond High School. Over the past 4 years, she has trained a team of ambassadors to assess and map the solar potential of 2000 homes in Redmond, Sammamish, Issaquah, and Kirkland. Aarya has been invited to share her work as a keynote speaker at the Washington State Solar Summit and presenter at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Virtual Teen Action Fair. She has developed solar advocacy and installation internships for high school students who are interested in joining the clean energy workforce. Apart from Sustainability Ambassadors, she is a public speaking state champion and Bharatanatyam dancer. She is also an award-winning Model UN delegate and secretariat member. Aarya has a carbon footprint of 51 tons per year and a water footprint of 1802 gallons per day. She is working to conserve water in her everyday life by taking shorter showers.
