Addison Coyne is a freshman at Skyline High School committed to environmental studies and sustainability. She gained an interest in social and environmental issues plaguing our planet at a young age. Addison strongly believes that action is needed now to protect our planet for future generations. Addison holds the position of freshman class president at Skyline High School and has been part of class council and ASB for the past four years. Through these roles, she has advocated for her peers and intends to continue to lead efforts to implement sustainability solutions at her school and within her community. Addison enjoys all aspects of the outdoors with a particular passion for paddleboarding, hiking and skiing. Through these activities, she has witnessed the changes in our environment and climate. This has heightened her passion and need to take action for the future of the planet. Addison hopes to achieve a career in environmental law and has gained experience through Debate Club and volunteering for political campaigns where she has learned to further her public speaking and knowledge of government systems. She feels a great sense of responsibility to work towards identifying solutions to protect our environment. Addison believes through programs such as Sustainability Ambassadors, the community can come together to make an actionable impact on our environment.
