Aditi Kumarappan

Aditi Kumarappan (She/Her) is a rising junior at Skyline High School of the Issaquah School District and joined SA in the summer of 2020. As a Sustainability Ambassador, she works with the City of Sammamish to push for change and is involved with several teams. She is currently co-leading the Sammamish team while working closely with her peers to work with Sammamish City Council to draft a Climate Action Plan. She is a member of the Sammamish Environmental Coalition, and a co-lead of the Community Advisory Group for her city. Aditi believes that with hard work to reach as many people as possible, our society can significantly reduce our GHG emissions, and become sustainable by 2050. She frequently reads articles on environmental struggles around the world to gain a better understanding of the problems at hand and has a deep interest in solving them. Outside of her involvement with Sustainability Ambassadors and the City of Sammamish, she plays her clarinet, draws, reads, is an avid rock climber, and collects watches! She competes in STEM competitions, and loves debating important political matters, spending much of her time reading journal reports on such matters.
