Vaibhav Narayanan, a dedicated 9th grader at Redmond High School in the Lake Washington School District, is passionate about community service and sustainable living. Inspired by a leadership event and the Sustainability Ambassadors’ projects, he seeks to collaborate with them, seeing it as a great opportunity to make a difference.
Vaibhav aims to become an entrepreneur and contribute to economic growth. He participates in future problem-solving competitions and dedicates time to the American Rocketry Challenge, where he was a 2024 National Finalist, DECA, and the Indian Student Association (ISA). He also volunteers for tree-planting initiatives in local parks to promote sustainability.
He practices eco-friendly habits like walking to nearby places and raising awareness about sustainable actions. In his free time, Vaibhav enjoys playing percussion instruments, swimming, jogging, and playing badminton. His commitment to reducing his environmental impact is evident in his carbon footprint of 11.38 metric tons of CO2 per year, below the US average, and his water footprint of 1,694 gallons per day. He actively seeks to reduce water consumption through rainwater preservation and mindful usage.Vaibhav is a remarkable young individual striving to create positive change and leave a lasting impact on his community and beyond.
