Veena Vijay

Veena Vijay (she/her), a member of the Class of 2026 and currently a sophomore at Skyline High School, possesses an enduring fascination with sustainability and a fervent desire for a pollution-free environment. Her commitment to sustainability led her to join the Sustainability Ambassadors program, driven by her vision of integrating aviation and sustainability to develop environmentally friendly aviation components. Beyond her involvement with Sustainability Ambassadors, Veena has also established a nonprofit 501c3 organization called SmilingTree, dedicated to empowering youth to foster sustainable and positive changes within their community. Additionally, she serves as the captain of her rocketry team, where she endeavors to design rockets using sustainable materials at a reasonable cost. Veena remains steadfast in pursuing opportunities in her community to broaden her impact and further her sustainability initiatives.
